A Melbourne Cup Carnival saddlecloth is a unique piece of memorabilia that acts as a precious reminder of a phenomenal ride, horse and jockey.

Every year the auction of Melbourne Cup Carnival saddlecloths is highly anticipated with racing enthusiasts and sporting fans alike bidding for a piece of racing history.

Once again in 2011, the Melbourne Cup Carnival saddlecloths are being auctioned by the Victoria Racing Club for Members and the public to bid on.

Original saddlecloths from the 2011 AAMI Victoria Derby (G1), Emirates Melbourne Cup (G1), Crown Oaks (G1) and Emirates Stakes (G1) will be auctioned with each saddlecloth signed by the respective jockey and authenticated by Victoria Racing Club (VRC) Chief Executive, Dale G Monteith.

The VRC will donate 30% of all money raised to the National Jockeys’ Trust.

Established in 2004, The National Jockeys’ Trust financially supports jockeys and their families through times of financial hardship due to illness or injury. The VRC is proud to continue to support such a worthy organisation.

Auctions open the day after each feature race is run and closing times will vary.

The saddlecloths make a fantastic gift for a racing enthusiast or a valuable familial keepsake. Don’t miss out on your chance to own a piece of racing history. View the VRC’s online auction site to secure a unique piece of racing memorabilia from feature races at Flemington.
