Pin & Win

Pin & Win is the major annual charity activity conducted by the Victoria Racing Club. It has been in existence for two decades as the main charitable activity associated with the Melbourne Cup Carnival. Proceeds are donated to our selected charity partner through the Melbourne Cup Community Programme.

The Melbourne Cup Community Programme's main focus is to support Australian charities that aim to create long-term health and social welfare programs. As the official charity in 2011, Vision Australia will use the Pin & Win program to raise valuable funds through the sale of miniature gold Melbourne Cup lapel pins.

The funds raised from the 2011 Pin & Win promotion will go towards Vision Australia’s Seeing Eye Dog services, training more dogs giving clients the ability to move safely, efficiently, confidently and independently around the home, travelling to school or work and in recreational environments.

In 2011, there are over $145,000 in prizes to be won including the chance to win the major prize being a Lexus IS 250C Sports Convertible valued at $85,050 and 1 Million Skywards Miles valued at $50,000.

To enter Pin & Win 2011, you must:

  • be a resident of Australia
  • over 18 years of age at the commencement of the Promotion Period
  • have a valid entry ie. a 2011 Lapel Pin.

Buying a pin

Order your souvenir Emirates Melbourne Cup lapel pins and help raise funds for the Melbourne Cup Community Programme.

Volunteers will be on-course at Flemington throughout the Melbourne Cup Carnival selling the 2011 Melbourne Cup lapel pins or you can pre-purchase pins through Flemington Shop from October 2011.

Simply purchase a Melbourne Cup 2011 Lapel Pin during the promotion period and enter for your chance to win!
