Congratulations to the winners of the prestigious 2011 Myer Fashions on the Field Millinery Award. More than 50 of Australia’s leading milliners participated in the competition - an invitation-only opportunity to showcase their finest designs.
The Design Award recognises the contribution designers have made to the Melbourne Cup Carnival, and provides designers a chance to showcase their racewear creations.
The award encourages outstanding racewear design and will be staged again this year on Emirates Melbourne Cup Day.
This 'invitation-only' category of Australia's largest and most prestigious outdoor fashion event was introduced by the VRC in 2005, to recognise the contribution designers have made to bring this event to the glamorous heights it is at today.
The Design Award also draws focus on discovering emerging Australian racewear design talent.
The Design Award is an invitation-only event. Invitations will be issued by Victoria Racing Club and Myer in September to established and emerging designers.
