On Emirates Melbourne Cup Day 2009, the website received over 250,000 daily unique visitors and over 1.25 million page views*, which proves the website continues to be a great source of information for people in Australia and internationally. In 2010, the website traffic increased dramatically due to our celebrations of the 150th consecutive running of the Melbourne Cup, and saw the VRC expand into social media.
